dbaArchitects
I have a long history in the design and construction industries. I worked with a design-build firm for approximately seventeen years, during which time numerous traditionally-constructed and fast-track projects were completed. My experience there formed the basis for dbaArchitects, which I founded in 2002.
dbaArchitects is a creative and dedicated firm. We pride ourselves on our resourcefulness and our ability to work within real-world constraints while exceeding clients’ expectations, in order to produce a synthesis of functional and esthetic considerations.
dbaArchitects has completed a wide variety of projects. We approach each project on it’s own terms, with no pre-conceived ideas about what the end product should be. Our diversity and experience allow us to be confident that projects will be successfully realized.
Our most recently completed project is the Malibu Beach Inn remodel and addition. We added a porte cochere and remodeled the entire structure, giving it a new, updated image. We added a kitchen and dining area, and designed the interiors of the guest rooms and public areas, including furniture, fixtures and equipment. We worked closely with the owner and general contractor during all stages of design and construction through to opening day.
Architecture is a process leading to a solution. The process requires different considerations for different projects. Our projects are quite varied, but each one is approached as a design challenge on it’s own parameters.
